Template:MERGE notification

An editor has requested for [[:{{{1}}}]] to be merged into [[:{{{2}}}]]. Since you had some involvement with {{{1}}} or {{{2}}}, you might want to participate in [[Talk:{{{2}}}#Merger proposal|the merger discussion]] (if you have not already done so).

Usage

This is a template to notify a relevant WikiProject of a requested merger discussion in order to engage editors to help establish a consensus.

To use, place {{subst:MERGE notification|SOURCEPAGE|DESTINATIONPAGE}} on the required page (i. e. the WikiProject talk page or other place where you want to place the notification), where the item in uppercase letters is replaced by the relevant value.

The parameter DESTINATIONPAGE is for the location of the merger discussion. Format like a regular link without brackets.

where:

• SOURCEPAGE is the name of the article or page requested to be merged from.
• DESTINATIONPAGE is the proposed location where SOURCEPAGE is to be merged.
• SECTION is the section on the talk page where the merge proposal is located.
• TALK_PAGE is the talk page where the merger discussion is happening. This parameter is only necessary if the talk page of the discussion is NOT the talk page of the page referenced in the DESTINATIONPAGE parameter.

• Note: This parameter can be used in conjunction with the SECTION parameter.
