Template:Summary too long

Template documentationThis template can be used to indicate that the summary provided of another article in the tagged section is too long.
Usage of this template will categorize the tagged article in Category:Articles containing overly long summaries, a hidden cleanup category; to suppress this categorization, use |nocat=y.
This template is a wrapper for {{summarize|brevity=y|from|{{{1}}}|section=y|date={{{date|}}}|nocat={{{nocat|}}}}}; see Template:Summarize/doc for more information about other uses of that base template (e.g. to request a summary be provided).
Usage
If the section already has a {{Main}} indicating what the summarized article is:
{{Summary too long|date=December 2025}}
Otherwise, you can specify it manually:
{{Summary too long|Barack Obama|date=December 2025}}
