Template:Spam blanked/doc

Spam blanking is undertaken on pages where the content is for one reason or another, inappropriate advertising, promotional material or other spam. In such cases, this template may be used to indicate that content has been blanked.

Spam blanking does not entail any revision deletion (see, Wikipedia:Deletion policy and Wikipedia:Hiding revisions). The content previously on the page will be visible through the page history; to view it, simply click the "history" tab at the page top, and view an older revision.

Usage

This template must be substituted: use {{subst:Spam blanked}}. Wikipedia and search engines shouldn't index spam blanked pages, and substituting this template adds the __NOINDEX__ magic word to the page being blanked.

To flag a section as having been blanked, use {{subst:Spam blanked|section}}.
