Template:Range block inquiry
I recently created an account Example (talk⧼dot-separator⧽contribs⧼dot-separator⧽deleted contribs⧼dot-separator⧽logs⧼dot-separator⧽filter log⧼dot-separator⧽block user⧼dot-separator⧽block log) which bypasses your range block of 0.0.0.0/16 (block range · block log (global) · WHOIS (partial)). I intend to closely monitor this account, but would appreciate, by Wikipedia mail, any information you remember regarding the problem which resulted in the rangeblock.
This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Range block inquiry}}). |
Usage
Administrators creating an account which bypasses a range block should as a courtesy at least, and also to obtain feedback from the blocking administrator, notify the blocking administrator consult with them. It is extremely important to keep a record of such accounts and monitor them as you may very well have created an account for the vandal or disruptive editor whose activities resulted in the range block.
Obviously to use the template you must first edit it to plug in the account name and IP range.
