Description
This template is intended to facilitate updating Wikipedia articles which reference present-day facts which are subject to change. For example, an article might say
the Yotvingians lived near the river Narew in present-day Poland.
If the border of Poland change, this may need to be updated. Without changing the displayed article text, this sentence could be marked up as follows:
the [[Yotvingians]] lived near the river [[Narew]] in {{present-day||[[Poland]]|7 July 2021}}.
the Yotvingians lived near the river Narew in present-day Poland.
If the borders of Poland change, this template can easily be modified to produce a warning message or a maintenance category that the statement needs to be checked and potentially updated.

the [[Yotvingians]] lived near the river [[Narew]] in {{present-day||[[Poland]]|7 July 2021}}.
