This article cites its sources but its page references ranges are too broad or incorrect. Page ranges in books should be specific, although circumstances may warrant citing a whole chapter or a larger range. You can help improve this article by introducing citations that are more precise. Usage

This template is used when an article cites a book as a reference, as well as page numbers used, but the range of page numbers is too broad.

It supports an optional argument, which if specified, replaces the word "article"; for example, {{Page numbers improve|section}} can be used at the beginning of a section, or {{Page numbers improve|list}} can be used at the beginning of a list.

Note: This template is primarily useful for citations to books. In external style guides, the standard citation method for academic journal articles is to list the full page range for the whole article, although editors are free to voluntarily establish a different citation style in an individual Wikipedia article.
