This template adds the entire page format for a city outline, including many standard links.
Usage
Create new city outlines in the outline project's draft space, with the following name structure: Wikipedia:WikiProject Outlines/Drafts/Outline of (City name) Don't transclude this template. Instead, use substitution by placing the following code on the page you are creating:
- {{subst:Outline city|city name (capitalized)}}
Then fill in the sections, adjusting the headings to fit the city.
Don't worry about stripping out the redlinks right away. Build up the outline first by adding missing topics. Many of the redlinks will become parent topics.
Then use User:The Transhumanist/RedlinkRemover.js to strip out the redlinks. It will leave parent topics in place, and will delink them if they are red.
