Usage
{{MWSD}} is a simple template that creates a reference to the commonly used Sanskrit dictionary by Monier-Williams. It currently looks like this:
- Monier-Williams, Monier (1899). A Sanskrit-English Dictionary: Etymologically and Philologically Arranged with Special Reference to Cognate Indo-European Languages. Oxford: Clarendon Press. OCLC 685239912.
The specific dictionary entry cited can be specified with the first unnamed parameter, for example {{MWSD|kūpa}}, which is rendered as:
- Monier-Williams, Monier (1899). "kūpa". A Sanskrit-English Dictionary: Etymologically and Philologically Arranged with Special Reference to Cognate Indo-European Languages. Oxford: Clarendon Press. OCLC 685239912.
By default the template links to the web interface at http://www.sanskrit-lexicon.uni-koeln.de. An alternative url can be specified with the |url= parameter.
