A simple utility template to check whether a country (sovereign state or dependent territory) is located in the Caribbean. It works for the both the noun and adjectival forms, e.g. "Cuba" and "Cuban"
Usage
Takes only one parameter: the name of a country, in noun or adjectival form. Case-insensitive.
{{Is country in the Caribbean|Foo}}
... where "Foo" is the name of a country
Output
Returns "Caribbean" if true, i.e. for the following countries:
- Anguilla
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Aruba
- The Bahamas
- Barbados
- Bonaire
- British Virgin Islands
- Cayman Islands
- Collectivity of Saint Martin
- Cuba
- Curaçao
- Dominica
- Dominican Republic
- Grenada
- Guadeloupe
- Haiti
- Jamaica
- Martinique
- Montserrat
- Puerto Rico
- Saba
- Saint Barthélemy
- Saint Kitts and Nevis
- Saint Lucia
- Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
- Sint Eustatius
- Sint Maarten
- Trinidad and Tobago
- Turks and Caicos Islands
- United States Virgin Islands
Otherwise returns nothing, including for blank or nonsensical values.
