Purpose and function
This template is designed to unify the various transliteration schemes and styles employed for Indic scripts. It aims to provide a standard way of representing transliterations.

Usage
Syntax:

"lang"
The two letter language code (or three letters if the two letter one does not exist) indicating the language of the text. The following languages are recognised by this template:

The language code for Konkani (Goan) is gom. Do not use kon, which would mean Kongo.
"indic"
The Indic script version of the text. You may use indic2
and indic3
for alternative spellings in the same language (although they can be different scripts). If you need to show a different language, use another instance of this template separated by a semi-colon ';'.
"trans"
The transliteration of the source script. You may use indic2
and indic3
for alternative spellings in the same language (although they can be different scripts). If you need to show a different language, use another instance of this template separated by a semi-colon ';'.
"defaultipa"
The IPA text of the pronunciation of the word in English.
"defaultaudio"
An audio file indicating the pronunciation of the word in English.
"indicipa"
The IPA text of the pronunciation of the word in the source language.
"indicaudio"
An audio file indicating the pronunciation of the word in the source language.
"showlang"
Values: true/false Default: true
Indicates whether to show the language name.
"showhelp"
Values: true/false Default: true
Indicates whether to show the help icon.
