The Template:Citeer_web handles Dutch-language parameters for {{cite web}}, as in the Dutch Wikipedia template nl:Sjabloon:Citeer_web. As of April 2013, {cite_web} would issue a red-error message for each unrecognized Dutch parameter as "Unknown parameter |xx ignored..." and so {citeer_web} here simply switches any Dutch parameter into the English equivalent,
and translates any date/month names into English,
until those cites can be hand-translated into English where needed.
Due to translation of dates/months, the runtime speed of the template is about 50-55 per second, and usage should be limited to about 300 {citeer web} per page, depending on performance needs.

Performance considerations
The Template:citeer_web runs 50-55 per second, but users should translate to {{cite web}}, as time permits. The translations of {citeer web} would typically require expertise in Dutch, plus knowledge of the Dutch Wikipedia cites, plus knowledge of parameters of the enwiki Template:Cite_web. The parameter list and months, listed above, can be used to assist translation of parameter names and dates.
Care should be taken to correctly hand-translate cite data into English; otherwise, the auto-translation of parameters is likely to be more accurate.
