This template is used on approximately 11,000 pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them.

Syntax

Parameters

topic - set so that your category is, e.g. "High-importance topic articles"
importance - should be one of top, high, mid, low, NA, Unknown, or (rarely) Bottom or No
sort (optional) - the key you want to use to sort the category in its parent Category:Foo-importance articles
parent (optional) - set so that your importance categories are subcategories of "parent articles by importance". If not defined, defaults to topic.
