Usage

This template renders the standard Swiss currency abbreviation (CHF) and an optional value according the official writing instructions by the Swiss Federal Chancellery – In English, the writing instructions make no distinction between the symbol and the currency code, but uses the ISO 4217 code in any case.[1] The currency symbol/code is always placed before the value and spaced by a space between them. The abbreviation provides an informative link to the Swiss franc article.

  • {{CHF|123.45}} produces CHF 123.45 (with a space between the abbreviation and the value).
  • {{CHF}} by itself produces CHF (simple currency article link).

The link to Swiss franc can be turned on and off using the link parameter.

  • {{CHF|link=yes|123.45}} produces CHF 123.45 (link is turned on).
  • {{CHF|link=no|123.45}} produces CHF 123.45 (link is turned off).

{{sfr}} redirects to here and has the same effect.

  • {{sfr|123.45}} produces CHF 123.45 .
