Using volume, pages, page

These work as with other {{cite xxx}} templates:

Using display

The mechanics of Wikisource will sometimes require that a link have disambiguation information which is not part of the original title. The display parameter allows this information to be hidden for the purpose of the citation. For example:

{{CEM|wstitle=Aristides Quintilianus |display=Quintilianus}}

displays as:

This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domainMoore, John Weeks (1880) [1854]. "Quintilianus" . Complete Encyclopaedia of Music. New York: C. H. Ditson & Company.

Using noicon

{{CEM|wstitle=Aristides Quintilianus|noicon=x}}

Using title (no Wikisource link)

{{CEM |title=Aristides Quintilianus}}

displays as:

This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domainMoore, John Weeks (1880) [1854]. "Aristides Quintilianus". Complete Encyclopaedia of Music. New York: C. H. Ditson & Company.

When title is being used, url can be used to specify an external link. For example:

{{CEM
 |title=Aristides Quintilianus
 |url=https://archive.org/stream/completeencyclop00moor#page/n66/mode/1up
 |page=61
}}

displays as:

This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domainMoore, John Weeks (1880) [1854]. "Aristides Quintilianus". Complete Encyclopaedia of Music. New York: C. H. Ditson & Company. p. 61.

Using short

If a shorter citation is desired, containing the editor of the 1880 edition, the short option can be used. For example:

{{CEM|wstitle=Aristides Quintilianus|short=x}}

displays as:

This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domain"Aristides Quintilianus" . Complete Encyclopaedia of Music. 1880 [1854].

If another edition besides 1880 is being used, the author name can be customized using first and last. If used, these two items will be displayed whether or not the short option is specified.
