Usage

This template will display information about quality assessments. The template is generally used for the instructions on a WikiProject's "/Assessment" page.

Full syntax

The full syntax is as follows:

Parameters

• |banner= (required) - the name of the WikiProject's project banner template, without the "Template:" prefix. This parameter is found in the banner name field. (Note: a template shortcut can also be used).

For example: |BANNER_NAME=Template:banner

• |topic= (required) - set so that the quality categories are: "Food-Class topic articles". This parameter can be found in one of two places. By default, the topic field would equal the project field, or if it exists, the corresponding assessment category field.

For example: |PROJECT=topic  or  |ASSESSMENT_CAT=topic articles

• |extraparam= (optional) - extra parameters to be passed over to the WikiProject's Banner, usually the name of a task force with a yes. This parameter is found in the corresponding task force field.

For example: |tf 1=extraparam=yes

Example

Result:

An article's quality assessment is generated from the class parameter in the {{WikiProject Military history}} project banner on its talk page:

The following values may be used for the class parameter to describe the quality of the article (see Wikipedia:Content assessment for assessment criteria):
FA (for featured articles only; adds articles to Category:FA-Class biography (military) articles)		Featured article FA
GA (for good articles only; adds articles to Category:GA-Class biography (military) articles)		Good article GA
B (adds articles to Category:B-Class biography (military) articles)		B-Class article B
C (adds articles to Category:C-Class biography (military) articles)		C-Class article C
Start (adds articles to Category:Start-Class biography (military) articles)		Start-Class article Start
Stub (adds articles to Category:Stub-Class biography (military) articles)		Stub-Class article Stub
For non-standard grades and non-mainspace content, the following values may be used for the class parameter:
??? (articles for which a valid class has not yet been provided are listed in Category:Unassessed biography (military) articles)		Unrated ???
