The template is for making external links to the VIREO (Visual Resources for Ornithology) photo galleries.
Format
{{VIREO|common name|free text}}
The VIREO common name can be found in the URL of the search results for that species. It is usually the common name in lowercase with spaces replaced by '+'.
If the free text parameter is not supplied, the value of the free text is set to the current page name.
Example of usage
*{{VIREO|great+kiskadee|Great Kiskadee}}
will be displayed as
