Purpose
Provides a uniform method of formatting Software Heritage links, and makes it simpler to update if the format of those links changes in future.
Usage
This template can be used in the following way:
- {{swh|swh:1:dir:0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef012345678}}
The parameters have the following meaning:
|1=or|id=or specifies the ID of the particular entry - a the 40-character sha1sum. Click on "download" at an swh page to find out the ID of an archive that is justifiably usable as an external link. The tip revision is not the ID of an swh archive.

The parameters have the following meaning:
|1=or|id=specifies the ID. As of July 2020, this is an sha1sum 40-character hexadecimal string. This template will need to be updated if the swh:1:dir prefix is updated - the 1 probably indicates version 1 of the ID system.
