Usage

This template expands a name to link to the appropriate SNCF (for Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français) station article, without displaying “ (SNCF)”. It can also be used as an alternative to {{Gare}} for station articles that do not start with “Gare de”, such as Gare d'Ermont-Eaubonne.

For example:

{{SNCF|Cernay}} expands to [[Cernay (SNCF)|Cernay]].

Discretion should be used on whether to name the place itself or the station that serves it. In railway articles it is generally preferred to use the station unless specifically talking about the place served, for example that Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône serves the suburb of Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône.

Some French station articles have a redirect with the link form ending with “ (SNCF)”.
