Description
The purpose of this template is to show correctly a proto-language and its reconstructed proto-form in articles on linguistics. The template has three parameters, the third being optional.

e.g.
- The Engilsh word fish came from Proto-Germanic *fiskaz.
- Proto-Slavic *vodā 'water' has many congantes in other IE languages.
