AfD requires volunteer work on the part of others, and there is usually a backlog of requests which hinders careful analysis of each nomination. This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Please prod}}).

Use this template to notify a user that PROD is often an alternative to AfD.

Parameter

Provide the name of the article as the first unnamed parameter. This is the only required parameter. It will be automatically wiki-linked.
