Template:Wikidata location map
Template documentationThis is a wrapper for {{Location map}} which adds (1) some error handling and (2) logic for determining the map name. It is intended to be used in the code for infoboxes which retrieve information from WikiData. It is not intended to be used directly in articles.

- Any non-blank value passed to
|nomap=suppresses the output. - If
|coordinates=is blank and no coordinates exist on wikidata, then no map is generated. - If
|locmapin=is not blank, the corresponding {{location map}} is used without any attempt to determine it from wikidata. - If
|locmapin=is blank, then the subtemplate {{Wikidata location map/mapname}} is used to determine an appropriate location map. - If there are any errors, the transcluding page is added to
trackingcatand Category:Location maps with possible errors and possibly Category:Pages with script errors. - Any articles transcluding this template with
|locmapin=not blank are added to Category:Articles using Wikidata location map with locally defined parameters
