This Swedish photograph is free to use under one of the following cases:

For images of an artistic or scientific significance (photographic works / fotografiska verk) , the image is public domain if
- a) if the photographer died before 1 January 1944, or
- b) if the photographer is not known, and cannot be traced, and the image was created before 1 January 1944.
For photographic pictures (fotografiska bilder), such as images by the press, the image is public domain if created before 1 January 1976, in accordance with transitional regulations in Swedish law no. 1994:190.

The photographer, if known, should always be attributed.

Always provide source information.

This file is NOT necessarily in the public domain in the United States because a non-simple image can only be in the public domain in the U.S.:

if it entered the public domain in Sweden prior to 1996 see Wikipedia:Non-U.S. copyrights), or
when, after that date, its copyright term expires in accordance with U.S. law.

Information about the creation date and creator should be provided.

If the image is not in the public domain in the United States, in addition to the license tag for its status in Sweden an appropriate fair use license and rationale should be provided, or the image should be proposed for deletion.

If the media is in the public domain in both Sweden and the United States, it may be transferred to the Wikimedia Commons.

This will replace the preceding U.S. copyright notification with a nomination for this image to be moved to the Wikimedia Commons.
