Template:Correct username

The user would prefer the username {{{1}}}. It appears incorrectly here because of technical restrictions.

Simply add the tag {{Correct username|Correct username}} at the top of a page.

For issues with the (#) sign, pass the |reason=# parameter:

{{Correct username|C# (programming language)|reason=#}}

The user would prefer the username C# (programming language). The substitution or omission of a # sign is because of technical restrictions.

For issues with any of (< > [ ] { }), pass the |reason=bracket parameter:

{{Correct username|Benzo[a]pyrene|reason=bracket}}

The user would prefer the username Benzo[a]pyrene. The substitution or omission of any < > [ ] { } is due to technical restrictions.

For issues with :, pass the |reason=: parameter:

{{Correct username|DK: King of Swing|reason=:}}

The user would prefer the username DK: King of Swing. The substitution or omission of a colon is due to technical restrictions.

For issues with _, pass the |reason=_ parameter:

{{Correct username|FOO____BAR|reason=_}}

The user would prefer the username FOO____BAR. The substitution or omission of an _ is due to technical restrictions.
