Commons-emblem-issue.svgWARNING: ACTIVE ARBITRATION REMEDIES
The article Template:ArbCom Arab-Israeli enforcement, along with other articles relating to the Arab–Israeli conflict, is currently subject to active arbitration remedies resulting from four arbitration cases (see WP:PIA). The current restrictions are:
  • Editing restrictions for new editors: All IP editors, accounts with fewer than 500 edits, and accounts with less than 30 days tenure are prohibited from editing any page that could be reasonably construed as being related to the Arab–Israeli conflict.
  • Limit of one revert in 24 hours: All articles related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, reasonably construed, are under WP:1RR (one revert per editor per article per 24-hour period). When in doubt, assume it is related.
  • All Arab–Israeli conflict-related pages, broadly interpreted, are subject to discretionary sanctions: Any uninvolved administrator may levy restrictions as an arbitration enforcement action on users editing in this topic area, after an initial notification.
Further information
The exceptions to the 500/30 restriction are:
  1. Editors who are not eligible to be extended-confirmed may use the Talk: namespace to post constructive comments and make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided they are not disruptive. Talk pages where disruption occurs may be managed by any of the above methods. This exception does not apply to other internal project discussions such as AfDs, WikiProjects, noticeboard discussions, etc.
  2. Editors who are not eligible to be extended-confirmed may not create new articles, but administrators may exercise discretion when deciding how to enforce this remedy on article creations. Deletion of new articles by editors who do not meet the criteria is permitted but not required.

With respect to the WP:1RR restriction:

  • Clear vandalism of whatever origin may be reverted without restriction. Reverts of edits made by anonymous (IP) editors that are not vandalism are exempt from the 1RR but are subject to the usual rules on edit warring.
  • Editors who violate this restriction may be blocked by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offence.

After being warned, discretionary sanctions can be used against any editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behaviour, or any normal editorial process. Discretionary sanctions can include blocks, topic-bans, or other restrictions.
Editors may report violations of these restrictions to the Arbitration enforcement noticeboard.

If you are unsure if your edit is appropriate, discuss it here on this talk page first. When in doubt, don't revert!

Usage

Use on the talk pages of articles subject to the WP:ARBPIA restriction. Note that a lack of this template is not an indication that the article is not subject to the restriction. Editors are expected to exercise caution on whether the restriction applies to a particular article, and if necessary ask for clarification.

Optional parameter

There are two types of restrictions under current ARBPIA sanctions: primary article and related content (see WP:ARBPIA4 remedies #6 and #7). For pages falling under primary article sanctions, simply use the default template:

{{ArbCom Arab-Israeli enforcement}}

For pages falling under related content sanctions, use the relatedcontent optional parameter:

{{ArbCom Arab-Israeli enforcement|relatedcontent=yes}}

Notes

For pages falling under related content, it may be necessary to include a comment in the wiki text identifying the related content if there is any confusion as to what is covered by the ARBPIA sanctions.

This template was based on {{Troubles restriction}}.
