Usage

This template is intended to be used on academic articles which require cleanup to meet Wikipedia's neutral point of view and/or conflict of interest policies. When applying this template to an article, editors should note specific reasons on the article's talk page. The template is primarily intended for articles about academic institutions (schools, colleges, universities), although it can also be applied to articles about academic programs, buildings, sports teams, media, traditions, administrators, faculty, etc. This template should only be used in the main (article) namespace. Do not place this template on talk pages, user pages, policies and guidelines, or other similar pages.

Parameters

This template refers to an article by default. It can be adjusted for use in sections of an article or for lists with the "what" parameter. Example for a section:

Syntax for current month:

{{Booster|date=February 2026}}

Pasteable text for any month (automatically inserted):

{{Booster|{{subst:DATE}}}}

Notes

  • This template will categorize tagged articles into Category:Wikipedia neutral point of view disputes and Category:Wikipedia articles with possible conflicts of interest.
  • This template is a self-reference.
  • Please do not subst: this template.
