Revision as of 19:44, 29 April 2018 by Wikipedia>Trappist the monk (add |italic= passthrough to {{lang}} because not all character used in Navajo; particluarly combining characters like U+301 and punctuation like U+02BC and U+2019 are not part of the unicode Latin character set;)
{{{1}}}
This template piggybacks on {{lang}}, ensuring that Navajo orthography is properly displayed.
It specifies fonts that are known to correctly display letters with diacritics, such as "į́", and adds the article to the hidden category "Category:Articles containing Navajo-language text."
The fonts used, in order of precedence, are:
- Aboriginal Sans
- DejaVu Sans
- Calibri
- Arial Unicode MS
Example
Usage: {{spell-nv|Diné}}
Result: Diné
Usage: {{spell-nv|Chʼínílį́|italic=yes}} – uses non-Latin Unicode characters U+02BC (Modifier letter apostrophe), U+012F (Latin small letter i with ogonek), and U+301 (combining acute accent)
Result: Chʼínílį́
Accepted values for |italic= are: yes, no, unset, and default. See {{lang}} for details.
