This image is a faithful reproduction of a two-dimensional uncopyrighted work of art and the image itself is in the public domain in the United States because under US copyright law, originality of expression is necessary for copyright protection, and a mere photograph of an out-of-copyright 2D work may not be protected under American copyright law.
