This template is used to provide courtesy Wikipedia links on talk pages. While external links can also be displayed with this, consider substituting {{Courtesy external}} instead to get rid of the extra brackets.

Usage

{{Courtesy link|pagetitle}}
{{Courtesy link|pagetitle|prefix}}
{{Courtesy link|pagetitle|linktext=text to display}}

Parameters

There are two positional parameters, and one named parameter.

  • 1 – Provides link to the intended page (required; no default)
  • 2 – Changes the prefix text to the value of parameter 2. (optional; default: "Courtesy link:")
  • linktext – Generates a piped link where the link target is given in param 1, and the link label is given in linktext.
