This template is here to remind people to verify a topic's notability before following a red link and creating the article, thus saving them from the potential frustration of future deletion processes.
Please avoid using this template in articles — it is meant for requested articles pages only. To use it, place {{notablewarn}} near the link.
If you have verified the notability of the subject, you are welcome to remove the template, if you found the topic to be notable.
Though not strictly necessary, it's advisable to give a brief reason in the edit summary.
