== Usage ==
This template can be used in combination with {{tl|Redirect category shell}} or without. This is in accord with instructions found at [[Wikipedia:REDCAT]].
* Use this template on any redirect from a title that is an emoji, whether or not it is included in the [[Template:Emoji (Unicode block)|Unicode block for emoji]] (i.e. [[♥]] uses this template).
* For emoji that are a single Unicode character, it should be paired with {{tl|R from Unicode character}}.
** This does {{em|not}} include emoji with skin-tone modifiers, or country flags, which consist of multiple characters. [[👩🏿‍🤝‍👨🏼]], for example, is rendered as one character in most web browsers, but is composed of seven (this can be seen in the [[Percent encoding|percent-encoded]] title of its article: [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%F0%9F%91%A9%F0%9F%8F%BF%E2%80%8D%F0%9F%A4%9D%E2%80%8D%F0%9F%91%A8%F0%9F%8F%BC https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%F0%9F%91%A9%F0%9F%8F%BF%E2%80%8D%F0%9F%A4%9D%E2%80%8D%F0%9F%91%A8%F0%9F%8F%BC]).
