== Usage ==
If an article does not meet [[WP:COLOUR|the guideline for the use of colours]], add this to the top of the article:

Alternatively, if the problem only affects one section of the article, add this to the top of the relevant section:
<pre>{{overcoloured|section}}</pre>

* If the article is written in [[United States English]], add the {{para|US|yes}} option to spell "colour" as "color" for [[WP:ENGVAR]] compliance. Calling the template as {{tl|overcolored}} does this automatically.
* This template takes an optional parameter that replaces the word "article" in the displayed message with arbitrary text. For example, {{tnull|Overcoloured|section}} displays "This section may overuse colour..."
* This template takes the optional parameter {{para|reason}}, which can be used to explain what issues need to be addressed, e.g. {{para|reason|The contrast of some of the colors used in this timeline is not high enough to be read easily by almost anyone.}}
