This template outputs the [[ʻokina]] character (<nowiki>&amp;#x02BB;</nowiki>) used to mark the phonetic glottal stop used in Polynesian languages such as [[Hawaiian language|Hawaiian]], [[Tongan language|Tongan]] and [[Samoan language|Samoan]]. It is also used for aspiration in [[Wade–Giles]] transcription and for some romanizations of the Semitic letter [[ayin]]. It does not accept any parameters.<br />
