This template is a convenient, standardised method of notifying an editor that they have had [[Wikipedia:General sanctions|community sanctions]] imposed on them. Only uninvolved administrators may sanction another editor under the terms of community-issued general sanctions, and sanctions should be given in accordance with the procedure at [[Wikipedia:General sanctions]].

The template requires three parameters:
