This template is used to tag pages for speedy deletion under the [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|speedy deletion criteria]], specifically [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#G3|CSD G3]]. There is a separate template for each criterion – see the table to the right.

This template places the page into the categories [[:Category:Candidates for speedy deletion|Candidates for speedy deletion]] and [[:Category:Candidates for speedy deletion as hoaxes|Candidates for speedy deletion as hoaxes]].

== Usage ==
The template should be placed at the top of the page to be deleted.

:This is the most basic form of the template.
