This template provides a quick, standard method of citing Racing Post's database of horse profiles for racehorse-related articles in Wikipedia.<br />

It is a [[Wikipedia:Wrapper templates|wrapper]] around the standard citation template {{tlx|cite web}}. As such it fills out some {{tlx|cite web}} parameters, but the full range of parameters provided by [[WP:CS1]] are available. To change the appearance of the output to that of {{tlx|citation}} use the parameter {{para|mode|cs2}}.<br />

Two parameters are required; {{para|horse-id}} is the horse identifer (1–6 digits); {{para|title}} is also required: {{para|access-date}} is optional:<br />
