This template renders a South African currency value with a currency symbol, or optionally an [[ISO 4217]] identifier (ZAR), linked to the [[South African rand]] article.

<nowiki>{{ZAR|123.45}}</nowiki> produces {{ZAR|123.45}} (with a [[non-breaking space]] between the R and the value)

<nowiki>{{ZAR}}</nowiki> produces {{ZAR}} (simple currency article link)

<nowiki>{{ZAR|ISO=yes}}</nowiki> produces {{ZAR|ISO=yes}} (simple currency article link use [[ISO 4217]] identifier)

<nowiki>{{ZAR|123.45|USD=yes}}</nowiki> produces {{ZAR|123.45|USD=yes}} (with a [[non-breaking space]] between the Z and showing the value in US$)

<nowiki>{{ZAR|123.45|iso=yes|usd=yes}}</nowiki> produces {{ZAR|123.45|iso=yes|usd=yes}} (with a [[non-breaking space]] between the ZAR and showing the value in US$)
